Cross-country roadshow to showcase advancements in fuel efficiency
September 6, 2017 (Brentwood, Tenn.) – The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) and Carbon War Room will launch the first-of-its-kind cross-country roadshow, Run on Less, this September, showcasing advancements in Class 8 fuel efficiency. EcoFlaps, the rapidly growing supplier of aerodynamic splash guards for the trucking industry, is proud to announce its participation as a sponsor for this campaign.
"We couldn’t be more excited to support NACFE’s Run on Less roadshow as a sponsor,” said Russell Stubbs, CEO of Eco Flaps. “Our aerodynamic splash guards are known for their ability to enhance fleet performance, maximize savings and minimize environmental impact. We’re looking forward to seeing real time examples of how fleets can pair other fuel efficient technologies with our splash guards to achieve greater savings and reduced fuel usage.”
The 3-week roadshow will include seven fleets using their current and commercially available equipment and technologies to haul real freight around the country. These rigs will kick off the experience from multiple places across the country, representing a range of duty cycles and payloads, eventually ending at the North American Commercial Vehicle (NACV) inaugural show in Atlanta on September 24.
Each fleet will allow their drivers to showcase how the use of multiple technologies can optimize highway fuel economy. Run on Less will track each driver’s progress, as well as their cost and carbon emissions savings, through its website. The final results will be highlighted at the first NACV press conference on Sunday, September 24. For more information about Run on Less, visit www.runonless.com.
